Hi, I'm also descended from a line of Luxembourgish men who never naturalized in the US. What is the process for that exactly? It sounds like you didn't need quite as many documents and it was quicker?

It sounds like you didn't need quite as many documents and it was quicker? Hi!! You should apply just like everybody else. The difference is the return of the Ministry of Justice in Luxembourg. If you have also inherited the nationality, they will just write asking you to pay 10 euros and then they ship to your address the Certificat de Nationalité and you are a national. If, for some reason, you didn't inherit the nationality, you will receive a white paper certifying that you have a Luxembourgish ancestor, and then with that paper, you can continue the process. For what I have perceived, the Luxembourgers who migrated to North America were naturalized, while those who came to South America were abandoned in the middle of nowhere.
