So, my wife received confirmation of her citizenship earlier this year (yay!). About a month ago, we got a notice from the US Postal Service that there was a registered letter for her from Luxembourg. There was no sender mentioned (just From: Luxembourg), and when we went to get it from the Post Office, we learned that they lost the letter.
Does anyone have any theories about what the letter could be?
Thanks!
Justin

Do you need the certificate to get a passport, or is the letter enough?

If you haven't gotten them yet, the certificate of citizenship. It should come 3-4 weeks after you got the citizenship. Do you need the certificate to get a passport, or is the letter enough? What do you mean? Do you want to apply for an ID? In Lux., there's no need for either (certificate or letter), you just need your RNPP, which they have in their systems. Abroad, I don't know.
