I was wondering if anyone knows the best email to use for the office in Luxembourg is as I've tried the Xavier one and there was no response. I want to contact them to ask if they've received my package because the USPS tracking doesn't seem to be working properly. Does anyone have any experience or info regarding this? I also want to ask other general questions regarding the proper method to include children of applicants. I'll attach a pic of the tracking status.

I had Canada Post screw up my registered letter - although I did contact the ministry with the email from bt008, I got more traction from Luxembourg Post - USPS will hand off to them for delivery, I had really good service from them at this email (you can write to them in English); mailto:postes.recommandes@post.lu
I provided them with my tracking number and I think within the day they sent me the delivery confirmation that it had been handed off to the ministry (Canada Post still had some status like 'exception'), I think several days later I did get an email from the ministry that they did get it.
- in regards to children, you should bring their birth certificates with you when you go to drop-off phase 2, if and when you get the nationality, your children become nationals at the same time and are registered at the same time.

That's pretty cool that they add the kids at the same time. It's amazing how easy it is if you have all of your paperwork in order.

Yes - it actually makes you think bureaucracy can be efficient and not just a self-sustaining entity! Just a note that you should get the birth certificates of the kids translated into french/german
What would be practical also is if they would make their passports 10 years, 5 years is not too practical when you live outside the country. (self-deprecation note: not even a national yet and I'm complaining about the system!)

And what do you think of 2 years for minors under 4 when you don't live in the country and far from a Lux. consulate?

- what is actually a bit crazy is that is my plan - to use my frequent-flier points before they expire. I had to actually compare cost of travel from Montreal to Washington, DC (Lux Embassy) compared to flying to Luxembourg to get the passport done - the cost and time would be negligibly similar between the two, the most deciding factor in favour of Washington was that it seems in Luxembourg you need to pick up the passport while the embassy will mail it to you, therefore not requiring a return visit. The world we live in where its equivalent to fly over to Europe to get something done than go to something much more 'local'.
And although my son is older than 4 now, he'll have to get by without a lux passport until daddy wins the lottery, or they get 10 year passports, I'm betting on the first option!

Thanks for the emails. Got a reply within three days. They received it and it is in the queue to be processed. They also said that they are currently processing packages from June 2016 currently if that pertains to anyone.
