Hi, I'm new to this process and I'm putting together the papers for phase 1 and I almost have them complete but I have a question, my mom, 3 brothers and I are about to start the procedure, but I do not know what is the best way to start, should we ask for a certificate of lineage for each one or only that my mother asks for it and then after she get it, my brothers and i ask for it, could someone help me? Another question is do I have to translate all the papers? (Birth certificate, marriage certificate and act of defunction) they are all in Spanish.
Thanks and sorry for my English is not the best

If you and your brother are over 18, you should both get your own "certificat". Use the same info your mother uses to request hers, but then add her into "the line" for you and your brother.
For Phase 1, the documents don't have to be translated. They are looking for a clear line between you and the qualifying Luxembourg ancestor. So long as you have the Luxembourg birth cert of the ancestor, and then all the paperwork showing their marriage, death, and the birth, marriage, and death of their child/grandchild/great-grandchild, etc. then you should be OK if all the names match up.

damn lost my post - it doesn't matter who applies first, you can all apply together as one big family, or individually, if you do individually select one person as the "first" who sends their application with all the certificates and then the others just include any of their personal certs (ie birth and marriage) and then just state for any other certs consult the dossier of your "first" application. That way you need only send one certificate and the other reference that persons certificate. no translation is necessary for phase 1. I do have a reference letter from Trevor that is in French that people have sent as an introduction letter to include with the application, email me doublejcream@gmail.com if you want a copy. It is usually helpful to include a simple family tree to show the connections and the people applying for the nationality. good luck
