Hi all!
I know that the Facebook group is probably the best place to look for this info/ keep up with everything, but I don't have a Facebook. I was just wondering if anyone knew what month is currently being worked on. I know when my paperwork was confirmed as received in early November, they said they were working on items received in June, so I figured about a six month timeline for me to get my certificat. Does anyone know if that's still the case? Thanks so much if anyone knows! (Or if you don't. You're still awesome!)

You aren't the only one who doesn't have a facebook account! you could always email the ministry to ask them, I don't know for sure what timeframe they are working on but mine came in around 3.5 months which I thought was pretty fast considering the general theme was 6 months. I would think 4-5 months if I was going to guess. when you are waiting it seems like an eternity. The only thing I can suggest is do other preparation like travel plans to go there, what to do there, brush up on your Luxembourgish :-)

Hi everyone! Just wanted to post a quick update! I received my certificate in the mail today! For those interested, I mailed it in late October and it arrived in around November 10th, I think. I don't know that I've ever been so excited about something.
I just really really really want to thank everyone here for your replies and help. It's amazing that the kindness of complete strangers has helped me to get this far.

Hello Everyone,
Just received my Certificat today confirming Lux ancestry! Submitted phase 1 late December, issue date of my Certificat was May 29, 2017, received June 26, 2017 at my home. Thanks to Trevor and everyone on this board for being so helpful through the process and providing direction on how to do it. With all this posted info, you really can do it yourself. Off to phase 2!

Very new member. While I wait to get into the FB group (I would never see my grandbabies if I didn't have it), can you answer some questions? I haven't seen a list for Phase 1. I am assuming it is just the ancestry verification. We get all the necessary certificates, then send them to the ministry (they don't have to be translated???) and then we wait for a letter telling us we have the correct lineage. We then submit the stuff that is on the list for Phase 2. What is the origional certificat relatif a l'aieul Luxembourgeois, the Note d'information, and the questionaire? (I am assuming the biography). Then once we get all that submitted, we are invited to travel to LUX to be sworn in (once we get a Lux background check) and we can then apply for a passport.

If it helps anyone to know the current status:
I called the certificate of nationality line this morning and was told they're currently working on materials received in February. I sent mine in March and the man stated it will probably be a few more months before I hear back, but since my documents are already turned in, I shouldn't have to worry.
