I'm scheduling my travel to Luxembourg for late in the year, and I just realized I don't properly know if the office I'll be visiting to submit documents is open on the weekend. I'd also like to know if a reservation is necessary. Any other details about the experiecnce someone had when they submitted their Phase 2 documents, I'd very much appreciate it.

So no, not open on the weekend Reservations aren't possible - you go in, they have one of those ticket machines (wait till they call your ticket)just on the left as you walk in, iirc you want ticket 'B', nationality i think it was. There is also a information desk right when you walk in as well if you want to ask them. Take you ticket, go down the stairs on the left where they have the waiting area. I had my ticket called within 5-10mins. I had a great talk with the agent, Dieder Hatz. He told me that to work in the government, maybe just that particular section - nationality, that they must know Luxembourgish, French, German, and English. We ended up speaking French since that seems the language they need to enter the information into their software in. The interview lasted about 1 hour but we both ended up talking about a lot of stuff, if we had just done the formalities it probably would have been 15-20mins. We got caught up in conversation that i almost forgot to give my son's birth certificate since it wasn't a requirement on the list. They give you a paper stating that they've taken your application on that date, and then you wait for another 6 months. And as some people here have said, they afterwards go to the pub to practice their luxembourish over some beer.
Between getting the police report 'casier judiciaire' (again Mon-Fri); Adresse : Cité Judiciaire Bâtiment BC L-2080 Luxembourg Téléphone: 00352 – 475981–346 Heures d’ouverture : du lundi au vendredi (sauf les jours fériés) de 8.30 à 12.00 et de 13.00 à 16.30 heures
I think I got there at 09:00 got out around 09:20 a 10-15min walk over to the Bierger center and was out by 11:00. It really went quite quickly and i was taking my time.
Hope that helps - let me know if you have other questions.
