I just received the birth certificate for my great-grandma Susanna from the Grand Duchy! Kudos to Luxembourg! This came faster than the rest of the certificates I need from the state of Iowa. Anyways, once I have all the birth, death and marriage certificates, can I send them as is in English or do I need to get them translated to French? I have heard that only Phase 2 documents need to be translated. Thx!

You do not have to translate them. Just your birth certificate and something else for phase 2

moike92 - If I don't need to translate my birth certificate for Phase 1, why would I need to for Phase 2? I thought once I submit that with Phase 1 they keep it and I don't have to submit again. Should I make a copy of it before I send off and include it in Phase 2 translated?
