Hi Everyone,
I am back again after a hiatus. I finally have all of my Phase I documents after conquering the various offices in Minnesota and Saskatchewan.
When I originally requested documents from the Luxembourg communes, I sent each an explanatory letter in French with a photocopy of the original document(s) from the Tables décennales (Familysearch.org). Thought I would make it easy for them.
Some communes sent me nice, official extracts back. Others just stamped the photocopies with their local seal and sent them back to me. I presume these stamped copies are official enough.
My concern is that the photocopies are quite illegible from a verification point of view. Has anyone had success with commune stamped photocopies of the original records rather than the nicer Extrait de l'acte de mariage/deces/naissance? I am hoping that the folks who review these have magical powers of understanding.
